Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this article from Time magazine.  Super good info for those wondering….”how can they make things so cheaply?” The only way to change this pattern is to stop buying cheap stuff!!!

Great link Sally. When things are made so cheaply we as the consumers may not pay, but somewhere along the line many others pay in ways we could not imagine for us to have those cheap prices.

I try to explain it when people ask me why I always buy organic/sustainable food. For me it’s not just about eating healthier it’s about the big picture. It’s about the conditions for the farm workers that grow the food, the way the soil is nurtured and renewed. I like to know that the people that grew the lettuce that I’m eating weren’t exposed to awful chemicals and aren’t having to worry about their health or birth defects just so I could have cheap lettuce.

If everybody were more thoughtful about where things came from, right back to how the crops are grown for the fabrics, the living conditions for the workers, we would all have a lot less stuff.
