Well. Where shall I begin? I certainly have not submitted any story about my near miss shopping habits in the recent past. In fact there has been NO shopping at all. No window-shopping, no catalogue shopping or online shopping. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
For I have just been cast among the many millions in our country as “unemployed”. Of course this was not by choice. My position was “eliminated”. Not needed. Not wanted. Not necessary. And as I toss and turn each night in an attempt to get some quality sleep, I have been able to assess that “this year of no clothes buying” came at a darn good time. I do feel quite in control and disciplined that clothes perhaps are, well, overrated. (Talk to me in a year).
So I fight the good fight and believe that new doors will open, and I may have to get myself a pair of Burberry wedges for that future interview…. We shall see…..
