The Uniform Project

Georgia O’Keefe sort of found her way to a wardrobe that suited her, that she loved and that was made up of the same pieces worn in different ways. She bought (or made) muliples of the same thing… crisp white shirt, black skirt, black pant… you get the idea. This has been on my mind as I see all of our different approaches to clothing, fashion, style, what feels good what we love, what we wear to break out of a rut etc. There is a cool project … www.theuniformproject.com that a woman has been doing to raise funds for a non-profit in India. She is wearing the same black dress (she has multiples) each day for 365 days and is just changing it up with accessories and other pieces from her closet or that other people send/give to her. It is really fun to look at …. I am finding that on this diet (unlike dietary diets) it has been very satisfying and enjoyable to just look……. thank goodness the Sept. Vogue is big as a phone book and it is stay-at-home-Friday!
