Step one: unsubscribe.

Like many, I do a fair amount of clothes shopping online, which means loads of marketing emails from those sites.  But just how many emails do I get daily?  Weekly?  I’m not sure, but it took me 3 minutes to quickly list out those I knew off the top of my head, plus at least 15 minutes to log in and unsubscribe.  Bluefly?  Check.  Anthropologie?  Check, er, no wait, they don’t have that option in my online account.  But funny, I got an email from them right after visiting their site!  Done.  Gilt.com, done.  Lululemon, sniff, done.  Sigh, I really want a new yoga top from them.

Which begs the question: sports bra – underwear or clothing?  Sports tank (like Lululemon’s Power Y Tank) – underwear or clothing? Anyone?

I still feel anxious and catch myself thinking of clothes to buy, outfits to be perfected. And, just last night, I perused my favorite online stores for lovely things to buy. But no purchases made. Success!

  1. If it looks like a bra then it is a bra. If it looks like a tank top with a built in bra then it is a tank top with a built in bra. I have asked myself this same question and have concluded that a bra is different than a work out top which falls into the apparel category. Does that help?

Unsubscribing from email advertising is a HUGE step. It will remove some of the mighty big temptations. You can do it!

Yes, but that’s not the answer I wanted :P

    Hi there,

What size are you? I might have something extra — not from Lulu – so lovely, sigh, sniff — in the yoga top category. Let me know.

    All my best,

Emily – dress size is 6, yoga top/bra would be a small. So thoughtful!
