Writing from The Ranch The Chic and the Shabby Not-So Chic

My birthday is next week and my lovely husband has offered to take me shopping. Clothes shopping. I tell him I don’t think this is allowed.

“What if you just point at what you like and disappear while I pay for it?” he suggests. Hmmmm.

Technically, this is TGAAD appropritate. 1) I wouldn’t be exchanging money for something wrapped in elegant tissue paper, and 2) my husband would be giving me an “unsolicited gift” (hey, it was his idea, not mine), but still, accepting his proposal feels a little sinful. And let me tell you: it’s SOOOO tempting.

What’s the TGAAD policy on granting a girl her birthday wish? Do I really have to celebrate my birthday in last year’s frock? Say it isn’t so!

  1. Hey I was under the impression pressie’s were ok??

It’s not you that’s buying it and he’s still gonna get you SOMETHING whether it’s clothing or not. It’s not your money you’re spending so I say GO FOR IT!

Excellent question Kerrie- I will make sure that he is reminded of the lost cardi. Thanks for all the comments!
