And the polls are in–you feel proud! Earth Day
Apr 20

I’ve struggled with mild depression for a few years now, and typically, my method of coping has been to browse clothing racks in stores, and eat chocolate. As my diet prescribes no chocolate, and my Diet prescribes no clothes, I’ve had to find something new to keep my mind off things.

And now, I knit.  Today, I’m learning lace on the training wheels yarn… tomorrow, ridiculously tiny thread. And next month… beautiful red-orange socks.

Because really, what I’ve needed is a way to clear my mind and just be. Not worrying about what I’m going to do for the rest of the day, or tomorrow.

Really, we call could do with a lesson in living in the moment, with our feet up, a mug of tea, and peace and quiet.

This is wonderful. I think it’s great that you ate knitting. I often wonder what women did before shopping was a recreational activity. I do think people were more creative.

FABULOUS! I am an avid yarnist too. I have been knitting since first grade and crocheting since high school. Socks are wonderful to knit. So many beautiful yarns out there and such a feeling of gratification when you make a pair of socks.

BTW, Are you on Ravelry.com? If not, please join up. It is a wonderful network for yarn enthusiasts of all levels.
