Patting myself on the back; I’ve made it to 4 weeks. Keep those posts coming!

I just found this site and joined immediately! My main goal for joining is to stop buying clothes (specially t-shirts) and redirect that money to paying off some credit card bills.

I am more like a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. But, seriously, how many t-shirts does one need? I have hundreds! And I am always buying more.

My plan is to reorganize my closet (started already yesterday) . Get rid of the stuff that doesn’t fit. And not buy anything for the next year, until some of the stuff I have is worn out.

The only exception will be when I have to get new uniforms for work.

I work at a hospital that will be changing uniform colors in the next few months. When that happens I will have to buy a few sets of  specific colored scrubs. But, that’ll be it.

Let the journey begin!

Welcome, Joana! I am a t-shirt nut, too. Not sure if I have “hundreds” but I know I have way more than I need! And I find it hard to get rid of them, even if old and cruddy–I tell myself, “well this would be good for times when I am gardening, or painting something, etc.” But I have numerous gardening aprons, too, so why would I need a cruddy t-shirt?
Your post has inspired me to count my tees, and get rid of some.

    Hi Joana,

Good luck with your journey! I joined TGAAD on August 1st and it’s been such a good thing for me in discovering more about what works for me in the wardrobe and shopping aspect. I’ve got plenty of clothes to carry me through the year, but the learning in the process is so valuable.

    Have fun!
