So, I recently received this newsletter from Tiny Choices talking about the Great American Apparel Diet, which I immediately wanted to share because I think it is such a great idea!
the first posting i saw on the website talked about circa 1910 tiny closets. While my closet is not nearly as overwhelming as some folks (my sister), I can totally relate to the idea of having so many clothes and I sure as heck would never get all my clothes into a tiny 1910 size closet! the newsletter talks about some more radical ways (the uniform project and the brown dress project – wearing the same dress for an entire year) of fighting this trend, but the GAA diet is particularly appealing to me. While I am very good at weeding out my closet on a regular basis and sharing with my family (we all are, actually) and goodwill, my wardrobe really is large enough that I should not need to buy new clothes for the next 10 years! (maybe a slight exaggeration). Anyways, so I am going to get on board and join the GAAD program and I welcome all my wonderful friends to join me!
