		<description>Maybe I am missing the point of your &quot;diet&quot; but talking about stuff that you love, but can&#039;t buy is sort of like being a real diet and talking about cake or ice cream. I have sat and read over some of these posts and I commend you all, but I guess I don&#039;t get  why you would want to torture yourself.
The folks that do the &quot;compact&quot; (otherwise known as buying nothing new for a full year) have come up with some great solutions. 
One thing that really helps in not buying new items is to get inventive about what you already have. 
Or take what you have and have a clothing swap to get new items, thrift stores, estate sales, crossroads trading or the like.</description>
