Nancy Lea

Nancy Lea, Seattle, WA (Pacific Northwest Native), Age 40. Nancy is a wife, chef and mother of two boys (4 and 8). When she's not wrestling her boys or whiping up something delicious and delectable for her family (she's hoping to cook for some clients soon), she reads, practices yoga (she has a penchant for the head stand), walks and volunteers.

Nancy explains in a matter-of-fact way that she has two closets full of clothes. "Some lovely and timeless, others trendy and cheap. I can barely see what I have and am thus stumped most mornings trying to pull together a respectable outfit."

Nancy's goal over the next 365 days is to learn to work with the clothing she currently owns, purging the items that she simply cannot pull off at 40. "I'd like to learn some self control when it comes to Internet shopping. My husband is most interested in the money to be saved by participating in this project. Won't he be sorry when he has to see me in the same black sweater for 4 months!" The shoe/accessory loophole makes Nancy a bit nervous because she is certain she can make up for her lack of clothing purchases with shoes and cheap funky rings. "I plan to give up (gulp!) purchasing these items as well."
