Angie Lee, who’s relishing the last year of her 20’s, is a fashionista who can’t resist a fabulous deal (and usually snags them)! Known as a discount diva, she’s always found it ironic she has a closet full of clothes (and fantastic designer shoes!), yet nothing to wear. The fact that she and her husband just graduated from business school (and have tons of loans to repay!) forced her to start thinking about smart budgeting. Living in New York City , one of the priciest places in the country, also made her quickly realize she could not sustain her spending sprees (the gentle scolding from her husband didn’t hurt either). Thus, she re-evaluated the state of her closet, realized there must be an outfit or two in there, and decided to join the apparel diet.
Angie, a former producer who now works for a major media company, is usually dressed in smart, business casual during the week but loves getting dolled up and slipping on her sky-high, python Louboutins on the weekends. She spends her free time scouring the web for discounts, researching recipes, cooking, and eating her way around the world. She’s an aspiring chef and entrepreneur - and believes the time she will save not shopping, will leave her lots of time to pursue her passion for cooking and eating. A California girl at heart, she’s learning to love New York City and exploring the nooks and crannies of her new home.
If she makes it through the year, it will be an unbelievable feat! (Her loved ones give her two months). Hopefully, she’ll prove them wrong!
