a few ideas! Clothing Envy
Feb 25

I have successfully managed to diet my way down to a size 18.  This weekend I went rummaging under the bed to drag out older clothes, so that I would actually have something to wear. Much to my dismay, I only had two pairs of dress slacks, leaving me with a wardrobe decidedly lacking in the professionalism. Thankfully, a coworker had dieted out of her 18s, and had left a bag of business skirts… which will get me through until I hit my lovely collection of 16s – hopefully only a month away!

It was nice to do a little mini-swap, and equally nice to manage to find my way back into a nice dress skirt.  I did miss them so.

CONGRATULATIONS! That’s great (yet challenging) news! I’m glad you’re finding creative solutions to the size dilemma… I’m down 15 lbs. and have been cinching the baggy waists of my pants with belts… not lookin’ too hot! I’ll have to see if I can scrounge up some hand-me-downs or loaners from friends to hold me over.

Congrats! I know how exciting that is! Down to a 16 in a month….way to go!! You seem to be on a mission!

That is so great! I have been sort of food dieting along with TGAAD. A while back I got a nice jump ahead on weight loss when I had a bout of stomach “flu” severe enough to put me into the hospital (though effective for fast weight loss, I don’t recommend it as a plan), and since then my appetite has waned a bit. Taking advantage of that, I have been pretty careful about what and the amount I have been eating. I noticed this week especially that my pants have been, well, looser!

I went shopping in my closet this morning and what do you know? An almost brand new pair of jeans that I bought probably 2 years ago and quickly “out grew”, fit!!!!!!

It is a great feeling isn’t it?

I probably should not have celebrated by baking Nanaimo bars though.
