Setting Limits Consumption
Jan 30

Passing along clothes you no longer wear or have held on to for lord knows why, always feels amazing. You have more room in your wardrobe to go shopping, and I have this strange idea that the amount of new wonderful things in your life is directly proportional to the amount of old useless stuff that you let go of.

But a new situation: getting rid old things in your closet while being restricted by your pledge to not shop until after the suns of August have set… whoa baby! I did this yesterday. I put a plastic tub, the size of my friend’s big fluffy semoyed mix, on the curb and when I came home from work last night it was gone… just like that. Thrilling.

Couldn’t agree more! I love donating clothes each season, it’s a cleansing. And sometimes a hard choice – I think, what if I’ll want to wear that shirt/skirt/jacket again? But then I let go, I can always buy a replacement. DOH! Not anymore. Maybe that’s why I have 3 bags in my trunk, destined for Goodwill, which have yet to be dropped off…
